The TWM Database
Is rebuilt twice a year with over 55,000 text adoption records per semester (over 1.5 million since 1994) for more than 275 4-year universities in the US and Canada, in the areas of engineering and technology, computer science, computer information systems, MIS, mathematics, physics/astronomy, and statistics.
Differs from MIR and TDIS in that data is processed by hand and analyzed to match course numbers and faculty to physical departments at each school.
Differs from publisher databases in that the process for targeting and entering data is uniform throughout the curriculum (from undergraduate through graduate levels) and from one semester to the next.
Is strategically built on a foundation of market expertise using a proprietary design.
- Principal has over 20 years experience in publishing, including editorial, marketing and sales experience.
- Each record includes semester, year, school name, department name, course number, textbook in use, and in most cases course instructor and enrollment.
- Markets and market segments are defined by linking together adoptions of textbooks that are similar in content and level.
